Saved by Silence
On July 3rd, 2002, Governor George Ryan signed into law a measure that has finally turned the tide in the ongoing war to educate our children. The law ensured that each school in the state of Illinois have a "Moment of Silence". This has made all the difference. This blog seeks to catalog the myriad examples of positive outcomes of this law that could never have happened without it.

1. Clean Up
I threw some marshmallows out and some of the students were able to catch the marshmallows in their mouths. When the bell rang, one kid stayed behind and looked to make sure that no marshmallows left behind to be ground into the carpet. Also, it didn't rain today.
